What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flooring Installer position at Powerhouse Flooring, LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Install various types of flooring materials, including, hardwood, laminate, and luxury vinyl
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit the designated area
- Prepare subfloors by removing old flooring, leveling surfaces, and repairing any damage
- Lay out flooring according to schematics and blueprints
- Install baseboards and trim to complete the flooring installation
- Ensure proper alignment and spacing of flooring materials
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete installation tasks
- Clean up work area and remove any debris after completing the installation
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the flooring installation or restoration industry preferred but not required
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for flooring installation
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and their installation techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure precise measurements and cuts
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues during the installation process
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and address any concerns or questions
