Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning and maintenance, ensuring that our facilities are kept in pristine condition. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in various facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Conduct floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report any major repairs needed to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals properly to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide porter services as required, ensuring that all areas are presentable at all times.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and products is highly desirable.
- Experience with floor care equipment and procedures including buffing and waxing is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is an advantage.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 per hour
