PowerFlexisseeking aSeniorCounselto supportourfastgrowth in theon-site renewable energybusiness-focused ondistributed generationSolarPVEnergy,BatteryStorage,Electric VehicleChargingandrelated hardware and softwaretechnologies.In this position, youwillworkinclosepartnershipwithleadershipstakeholdersand internalbusinessteams,toreview and draft contracts,leadcontractnegotiations,and managethefull cycleof thebusiness'sinternal legal needs.

Location
This role is open to be a hybrid role out of one of our offices (Mountain View, CA,San Diego, CA , Los Angeles, CA. or New York, NY) or a fully remote position.

Responsibilities:

• 45% -Review anddraftvariouscontractsrelated toPowerFlex'sbusiness throughout the United States.Key contractsfor the businessincludeturnkey installation agreements for solar, storage, or EV chargers,power purchaseorenergy services agreements,andoperationservices agreements. Other contract types includesoftware license agreements, vendor agreements,subcontracts,hardware saleor purchaseagreements,siteleasesfor installation (typically rooftop or parking lots),andproject sale agreements.
• 20% -Interact with clients and counterparties, includingleading negotiations and communications.
• 20%-Provide legal support andserve as the main point of contactforinternal business and management teams for a variety of communications around contracting and legalmatters;manage work streamsfor inter-company coordination;interpret and apply legal requirements to the business-in particular, lawsandregulations relating toPowerFlex'sactivities; advise on contract strategies and provide risk andbusiness arguments for specific dealsandcommercialissues.
• 10%- Develop and refinelegalsystems,contract templates,processes and playbooks, to continuously improve the health of the company's legal and compliance functions;manage workflow andprovide reporting on all relevant activities; keep abreast of the company's vision, mission, and services,andcompetitive landscape,andbe able to articulate the company'sserviceofferings effectively.
• 5% -Otherduties asassigned.

Qualifications
Education/Experience

• JurisDoctordegree and member of a State Bar Association(preferably California)
• 3-10years of legal experience in relevant fields;preferablyinvolving some familiarity with any of:renewable energy,distributed generation,technology,construction,projectfinance, orenergy

• Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to work with cross-functional business teams,and lead the drafting,negotiationand implementation ofcontracts
• Passionateabout businessresults,withastrongsenseof accountability,metricsandownership
• Attentionto detail,particularlywhileoverseeingthefull contract cycle
• Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
• Self-starter who can complete tasks and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Advancedskills inWord,PowerPoint,andotherOfficeproducts
• Proactive approach to organization

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $185,760 - $227,040 annually. This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). PowerFlex's compensation packages carefully consider a candidate's qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.

Physical Requirements
Remaining in a seated position. Long hours on computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

Working Conditions
Approximately 90% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Adobe etc.), telephones, and general office equipment. Possibly 10% of the time is spent traveling to conferences or meetings or field traveling to project sites.
