10 years of applicable experienceMinimum education BS Electrical Engineering from an accredited universityProfessional engineer certification (PE) in CaliforniaIn-office position at our Tustin, CA locationSalary range: $175k - $240k (depending upon experience)Extensive experience in retrofit design, supervisory controls and data acquisition (SCADA), industrial control systems, programmable logic controls (PLC) on several major platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Modicon (Schneider), Siemens, SEL Axion platform and real-time automation controller (RTAC), protocol conversion gateways, etc.In-depth system integration experience utilizing Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, IEC61850, DNP serial, DNP Ethernet, Profinet, BACnet, etc. industrial and electric utility communication protocols.Working knowledge and demonstrated experience integrating Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) protective relays, real-time automation controllers (RTAC), power meters, and other intelligent electronic devices (IEDs).The successful candidate’s capabilities and experience to include new and retrofit design engineering of medium voltage switchgear, generate medium and high voltage relay protection settings, PLC programming, HMI configuration, process instrumentation, implementation of generator paralleling control systems, proficient in electrical design using AutoCAD.Intimate knowledge and demonstrated experience with developing new and retrofit drawings and codes, such as system architecture diagrams, P&IDs, ISA loop diagrams, single line diagrams, control & protection diagrams, AC schematic diagrams, elementary diagrams, DC schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, NFPA 70 (NEC) and NESC, sequence of operations, commissioning test plans, troubleshooting, and performing startup testing and commissioning of these systems.
