Position: Electrical DrafterDepartment: Electrical EngineeringDirect Report To: Senior Electrical Engineer PowerBuilt is a leading provider of turn-key material handling solutions, specializing in lift assist, conveyor systems, controls, and pre-engineered equipment. As we continue to expand, we are seeking talented individuals to join our team and contribute to our ongoing growth and innovation.Responsibilities:Participate in the design process to support engineers, designers, and assemblers by contributing ideas & technical information as neededCreate rough sketches or diagrams of electrical systems on the flyCollect, study and combine rough sketches, initial design ideas, and technical documentations into coherent technical drafts Create accurate, detailed technical plans for electrical systems using computer-aided design programs to convert specifications, technical data, and design information from engineers into electrical drawing packagesDrawing packages include detailed documentation of:System layouts, One-line diagrams, electrical schematics, panel layouts, equipment bill of materials, cable layouts, component lists, tag lists, tag details, build and assembly drawings detailsAssist with designing electrical panel layouts and system electrical connectivity, including the specification of common use panel components, cables, and cable pass through devicesServe a lead Drafter on assigned projectsCreating and maintaining a standard database of circuits, electrical component symbols, bill of materials in drawings software using past drawings for future re-useAdhere drawing templates and layouts to department standardsModify standards as needed to meet customer specificationsProvide shop support as needed to help technicians in executing the assembly of equipment as it pertains to electrical drawingsAssist technicians and engineers with wiring verification and IO checkoutTravel within a 2-hour radius from PowerBuilt facilitiesRequirements:Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills in a formal, and informal group environmentAbility to take notes and organize thoughts for dissemination to internal and external project team membersAbility to read and interpret technical documents such as component manuals, and equipment specification sheets for technical data, such as dimensions and wiring/ connection detailsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics in North American and European formatsGood working knowledge of electrical circuitry and panel designWire sizing, wire duct sizing, component spacing and layout criteria in panelsCertification in an Electrical drafting software such as: AutoCad, SolidWorks, Eplan -OR-Associates degree in Electrical drafting or other relevant discipline PowerBuilt Material Handling Solutions, LLC is an equal opportunity employer
