Hours: 6AM - 330PM
PowerBuilt Material Handling Solutions LLC is a turn-key material handling equipment builder and systems integrator. Our clients include many of the largest auto manufacturers in North America. Our growing fabrication team is seeking an experienced welder to assist in the department as it continues to expand.
Position Summary:
The primary objective of a Welder at PowerBuilt is to ensure the accurate, safe, professional, and complete weldment of custom engineered products. The welder works at the direction of the Lead Welder to ensure jobs are being fabricated on time and meeting the desired expectation of functionality and appearance. A successful candidate for this position should have a passion for seeing projects from start to completion, strong attention to detail, capability of working well with others and in an individual setting, open to learning new skills and abilities, and an ability to excel in time sensitive and at times high-pressure situations.

- MIG Welding
- TIG Welding
- Grinding
- Vertical & Horizontal band-saw usage
Requirements & Qualifications:
Prior experience in welding or similar field
Experience with job shop weldments
Experience with post machined weldments
Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
CNC mill and lathe experience preferred (not required)
Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment (Required)
Blueprint reading and knowledge of common welding symbols (Preferred)
Experience with forklift operation
Demonstrates a full understanding of the welding department’s capabilities, material handling, and process limitations
- Passes entry-level Machining training and understands its applications in the fabrication workflow. – Using a Hurco or the Manual Mill
- Can accurately machine a simple plate with through or tapped holes
- Can Machine all 6 sides of a block to size and be withing .005”
- Can use reamer to make press or slip fit holes
- Passes entry-level Waterjet/Laser training and understands its applications in the fabrication workflow.
- Can load, write a program and run a program on laser
- Can load, write a program and run a program on Waterjet
- Can make a basic DXF
