Quality Assurance Inspector/Shop Floor Associate

Job Located in Kenosha, WI

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position reports to the Director of Engineering. This position will be responsible for all inspection tasks within a documented quality system including, but not limited to documentation, and inspection of product.  Compliance and accountability to all related quality systems processes as described in the Quality Assurance Manual, procedures and /or work instructions.  This position will fill the additional role of Shop Floor Support Associate, helping Production, Warehousing Purchasing, Sales and Engineering in the completion of their assigned roles.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         1-2 years inspection experience with measurement devices such as calipers, pin gages, coordinate measuring machines, optical comparators

• Inspection for visual defects
• Engineering Drawing reading
• ERP / MRP system such as Epicor/SAP
• Microsoft Office and Windows

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspection of regularly received products. This includes 1st Article Approvals of new tooling/processes/products and maintaining records of approvals.
• Maintain nonconformance processes per documented quality system; including, Supplier DMR’s, Customer RMA’s and inspection of rework activities if/when required.
• Participate in root cause analysis of nonconforming products and processes.
• Continuous improvement / corrective and preventive activities (root cause analysis and follow-up activities are critical)
• Adherence to all elements of quality management system as described within.
• Assist other department as required, including but not limited to Packing, Material Handling, Machine Operation, Data Collation.
