Generator Technician

Power Up Generator Service Co. is looking to hire Generator Technicians throughout New England. Full benefits, company phone/allowance, company service truck.

DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining generators, diagnosing, and repairing problems, or installing and replacing components or entire systems
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure proper readiness during preventive maintenance services.
• Work with other technicians in troubleshooting and repair issues.
• Work independently with minimum or no supervision (field-based position).
• Comply with all specifications, industry standards, safety rules/regulations, and company policies/procedures.
• Ability and desire to work overtime and nights/weekends when needed.
• Occasional on call 24/7 duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS And REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years of experience with generator maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components associated with generators, ATS and diesel engines.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with other technicians, management, and customers.
• High School diploma or equivalent minimum.
• Education such as military training, trade school training that provides hands-on experience is preferred/plus.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge minimum.
• Transfer Switch/ ATS experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
