About the Role
The Quality Certification Specialist will take ownership of all UL/ETL certification activities for Power Temp Systems' product lines. This individual will manage documentation, coordinate with engineers and production teams, and serve as the main contact with certification agencies and testing labs.
This hybrid position is ideal for someone experienced in electrical product compliance who enjoys both leadership and hands-on project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end UL/ETL certification process for new and existing products.
Develop, organize, and maintain documentation packages required for product testing and certification.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure compliance with UL/ETL, NEC, and other safety standards.
Act as the primary liaison between Power Temp Systems and certification agencies/labs.
Maintain documentation templates, test reports, and revision tracking systems.
Prepare products, drawings, and test samples for submission to testing agencies.
Conduct internal quality audits and ensure ongoing compliance with certification requirements.
Provide training and support to internal teams on documentation and compliance best practices.
Qualifications
5 years of experience in UL, ETL, or related product certification (electrical, mechanical, or industrial products).
Strong understanding of power distribution equipment, electrical assemblies, or control panels.
Proven experience managing technical documentation and compliance programs.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Hands-on experience with testing labs, inspectors, or certification engineers.
Technical aptitude in electrical systems - ability to interpret and communicate drawings and schematics.
Willingness to travel periodically between the Houston and Lafayette locations.
Experience with documentation control systems or ERP tools is a plus.

Reports To: Quality Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM (OT as needed)
Physical Requirements: Moderate - includes sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment: Office and production settings
Travel: Occasional travel between Lafayette and Houston
