Duties
- Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system integrity
- Work on construction sites performing new installations or renovations of electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings
- Maintain low voltage and high voltage systems safely while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or renovation teams to ensure seamless project completion
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur
Requirements
- Valid Wyoming Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical work
- Extensive experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for complex electrical systems
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting industrial control systems
- Hands-on experience working with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in construction or renovation projects
- Familiarity with NEC standards, OSHA safety regulations, and proper use of electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently on construction sites or during renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices along with handyman skills for minor repairs or adjustments
- Experience working with schematics for industrial automation or commercial wiring projects is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks
