ManagerDate Created: December 2023SUMMARY: The Junior Communications Engineer provides drafting and technical support to their supervisors throughout the design and development phase across multiple projects. They will work with experienced Communication Engineers to develop skills and knowledge across multiple Communication disciplines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.Responsible for providing technical documentation throughout the design and development phase of a project. Creates shop drawings/As-Builts/schematics/diagrams/assemblies based on blueprints, sketches, written specifications under the supervision of the Communications and Project Management Department.Responsible for handling workload to meet delivery dates and workload schedules for ongoing project submissions. Review and verify comments on drawing packages received from customers and agencies. Upon review, updates are to be made to drawing packages for resubmission.Will travel to customer sites to assist vendors/contractors with installations, troubleshooting, configurations, and on-site testing for use in technical reports, problem analysis, process verification and engineering.Responsible for furthering knowledge and understanding base fundamentals of networking and communications. Requirements:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE1-2 year’s exp.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Eng, Computer Science, Mathematics, or any Technical Field. Drafting experience preferred.Thorough knowledge of Engineering principals/concepts, PC software (e.g., data analysis, MS Word, Excel, Project, etc.)AutoCAD experience is a plus.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
