POSITION SUMMARY

The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying that all construction activities, materials, and installations meet company quality standards, engineering specifications, customer requirements, and applicable codes.

This position performs inspections throughout all phases of utility-scale solar construction, identifies deficiencies, documents findings, and works collaboratively with field leadership to ensure quality workmanship and successful project completion.

Defect Prevention & Rework Reduction

• Assist in reducing rework through proactive inspections and early identification of deficiencies.

Project Delivery & Customer Acceptance

• Support successful project commissioning and customer acceptance.

OPERATIONAL EXECUTION

Field Inspections

• Perform daily inspections of civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical construction activities.
• Verify installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Conduct receiving inspections for materials and equipment.
• Perform witness inspections, hold point inspections, and final acceptance inspections.
• Review installation methods for compliance with manufacturer requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

• Document inspection results, deficiencies, punch list items, and corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed inspection reports, photographs, and quality documentation.
• Track corrective actions through completion and verify resolution.

Coordination & Commissioning

• Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, Lead Technicians, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
• Assist with commissioning inspections and turnover documentation.
• Participate in customer, owner, and third-party quality inspections.

• Support compliance with NEC, IEEE, NETA, ASTM, ACI, and other applicable industry standards.
• Report quality concerns that may impact safety, reliability, or project performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
• 1 years of quality inspection experience in utility-scale solar, commercial, industrial, or heavy civil construction.
• Experience performing electrical and/or mechanical inspections preferred.
• Experience with commissioning or renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to read construction drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and IFC plans.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale solar construction methods.
• Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and documentation.
• Familiarity with NEC, OSHA, ASTM, ACI, IEEE, and NETA standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital inspection software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction
• NFPA 70E
• First Aid / CPR
• Quality Inspector Certification — CQI, CWI, or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
