ERMCO is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with 2–5 years of experience who is ready to take the next step in their accounting career. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has built a solid foundation in accounting, especially in a manufacturing, industrial, or operational setting—and is looking to expand their impact by taking on both cost and general accounting responsibilities in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and variance reporting
- Maintain and update standard cost data; support annual cost roll processes
- Analyze manufacturing cost variances and prepare reporting for leadership
- Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory accounts
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and support depreciation tracking
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including inventory and other key balance sheet items
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting activities
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Participate in internal/external audits and help ensure adherence to internal controls and GAAP
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of accounting experience (manufacturing or cost accounting preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with ERP/accounting systems
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred qualifications:
- CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure
- Experience with Infor or similar ERP system
- Prior involvement in inventory or fixed asset accounting
- Exposure to operational or plant-level financial processes
Physical requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional lifting of files or paperwork
- Occasional travel to other ERMCO sites
