Location: Power Motion, Inc. (Northeast Arkansas territory, can be based anywhere from Little Rock to Memphis)

As a system integrator, we provide automated control systems to industrial users and original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s). PMI is a privately held corporation with a main office in St. Louis and branch offices in Kansas City and Little Rock. Our customers are located mostly in the Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas regions, although we will travel nation-wide or world-wide to service our local customers. Job Description
The Sales Engineer will assume duties in an existing geographical territory (Northeast Arkansas, candidates MUST be based there) and will be responsible for managing and growing the company’s sales within the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up on sales leads, prepare basic quotations, make pricing recommendations, and communicate application requirements/specifications to engineering team to prepare complex quotations
- Take initiative to learn about product lines; schedule, organize, and coordinate vendor visits; participate in training and sales meetings
- Solicit new business with a focus on large and potential accounts
- Prepare territory sales plan based on customer location to ensure product coverage based on territory sales and update plan as needed
- Promote and participate in customer seminars, workshops, and trainings
- Maintain continuous communication with sales manager on relevant matters
- Keep CRM database and opportunities current and customer files organized
- Prepare annual sales forecast for territory and participate in long term planning
- Establish personal goals and objectives for growth and development
- Request tools and resources necessary to achieve goals
Requirements
- Familiar with factory automation products including machine vision, sensors, robotics, and motion control.
- Experience selling to and servicing manufacturers, OEMs, and system integrators
- Demonstrate an aptitude for understanding and selling our products, which include non-contact sensing, vision systems, PLC control, motion control, robotics, and related items
- Be highly organized and motivated
- Possess effective communication skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and CRM software experience.
- Have a reliable vehicle, clean driving record, and be able to travel locally and some overnight.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work with a variety of people in a professional manner is critical.
Travel
The majority of work will be local or regional with some overnight travel possible
