We are hiring skilled and mechanically inclined Pipefitters for commercial construction projects in the Akron and Oakwood, Ohio areas.
Journeyman status is NOT required. We're looking for candidates with hands-on experience who are competent on a construction site, mechanically inclined, and able to work safely and productively with minimal supervision.
If you have solid pipefitting or mechanical experience and know how to use your tools, we want to talk to you.
PAY: $24–$32/HOUR
Pay will be based on your experience, skill level, and ability to perform the work independently.
A candidate with a strong mechanical background and some pipefitting experience can be successful in this position.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous pipefitting, mechanical, or related construction experience
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure
- Comfortable using a pipe wrench
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working with hand tools
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Competent working on an active commercial construction site
- Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks
- Dependable and safety-minded
- Journeyman credentials are NOT required
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
We're not necessarily looking for someone with a stack of certifications or a Journeyman card.
We're looking for someone who knows how to work.
If you have some pipefitting experience, are comfortable with your tools, can read measurements, understand basic mechanical concepts, and can be trusted to get your work done without being supervised every minute, you may be exactly who we're looking for.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant pipefitting, mechanical, or commercial construction experience
- Ability to perform physical construction work
- Ability to use basic hand tools, including a tape measure and pipe wrench
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Must successfully complete required drug and background screening
