Power Innovations International is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to join its engineering team. This individual will own all mechanical design and integration for EV charging, bi-directional V2G/V2H, and microgrid power-conversion products — from concept through production release — delivering hardware that ships on-time, hits cost targets, and ensures the right components are available during assembly.
Responsibilities

- Create and maintain all mechanical models, drawings, and purchase-part specifications
- Export and own top-level BOMs directly from CAD
- Lead R&D prototype/pilot builds and validation (hands-on, redlines, lessons-learned, test plans & reports)
- Support electrical and systems engineers on fit, cable/harness routing, and build sequencing
- Deliver proper release packages on committed dates (drawings, STEP, DXF, BOM, specifications)
Actively drive design-for-cost, manufacturability, and margin improvement
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 years SolidWorks (advanced assemblies, configurations, sheet metal, weldments)
- Proven ability to own hardware from concept to production release
- Hands-on prototype build experience (assembly, validation testing, basic electrical)
- GD&T and DFM knowledge
- Familiar with PDM file management and SolidWorks BOM exports
Comfortable in fast-paced, cross-functional environment with changing priorities
