The Payroll Practitioner I supports daily payroll activities and addresses payroll-related issues. In this entry- level role, the individual assists in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while delivering excellent customer service to employees.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists the department by processing payroll, addressing and resolving inquiries or issues, and following up on payroll-related matters.
- Possesses a basic understanding of payroll terminology and spreadsheet programs/formulas.
- Aids in all employee payroll processes, including necessary updates to the payroll system.
- Gathers and reviews employee time and attendance records to ensure compliance with state and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates with other departments regarding payroll requests (ex- terminations, new hires, compensation, reporting)
- Remain up to date on federal, state and local best practices.
- Capable of sitting at a desk and type for up to eight hours a day.
- Although duties normally follow established procedures, responsibilities may include routine, minor corrections to make documents acceptable for processing.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Management.

Education And Experience
- Relevant prior work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 1-2 years of payroll experience is preferred, ideally with ADP Payroll System and reporting software.
- FPC or CPP preferred but not required.
