The Junior GL Accountant will provide support to the Corporate Finance team by managing daily accounting tasks.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Duties
- Maintain and reconcile the company’s corporate credit cards, including audit, research, approvals, coding and reporting transactions by the deadline.
- Research, process and interact with company and vendor personnel in processing invoices for Accounts Payable.
- Code and enter AP invoices in company database for payment.
- Identify, reconcile and clear un-invoiced AP, open purchase orders and AP invoices.
- Research, identify and assist in the resolution of other AP discrepancies.
- Assist GL team with month end closing.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, and strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Must be organized and attentive to details. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics or 2-5 years work experience in accounting or other relevant disciplines preferred.
