Duties
- Source and purchase parts, accessories, and related supplies by evaluating supplier options, negotiating prices, and establishing strong vendor relationships.
- Manage inventory levels through demand planning, forecasting, and accurate data entry within ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems to ensure availability of parts when needed.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to oversee shipping & receiving activities, ensuring proper storage, inventory control, and timely distribution of parts.
- Utilize engine and electrical knowledge to verify part specifications, compatibility, and quality standards for various electrical power systems.
- Maintain comprehensive procurement records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and AS400 platforms for tracking orders, pricing history, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and service teams to understand their parts requirements and streamline sourcing processes.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and pricing agreements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management or parts sourcing within a dealership or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, engines, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, and repair processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build lasting supplier relationships.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive parts and accessories is essential for accurate sourcing and troubleshooting.
- Experience with warehouse management, logistics inventory management, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory control practices.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment is preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills for internal teams and external vendors.
