Mid-Level Underground Transmission Drafter

POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is currently seeking a Mid-Level Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Underground Line Department in our Hailey, ID or Boise, ID office.

Job Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will work with underground transmission line engineers and drafters to complete the following activities:
• Working with engineers and other drafters in the creation of construction drawings for underground transmission lines including: plan and profile drawings, detail drawings, cover sheet, and notes.
• Performing quality assurance checks on construction drawings
• Collaborating in both in-person meetings and virtual conference calls
• Organizing projects and their subsequent files and documents in ProjectWise
• Experience opportunities can include field visits and coordination with contractors and clients
  
  

Required education/Experience:

• Associate degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree)
• Strong experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation
• Experience with drawing creation for Power Delivery (transmission, substation, distribution)
  
  

Desired Education/Experience:

• 3 or more years drafting experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems
• Experience interpreting surveys
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong written and oral communications skills
