About The Position

We're seeking a skilled General Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional food and service in our bustling campus cafe. As the driving force behind Surge Cafe, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our restaurant, cultivating a culture of excellence, and championing healthy, delicious offerings. Position Details/Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent adherence to quality, health and safety standards
• Manage profit and loss statements, optimizing financial performance
• Develop and update fresh, innovative menus in line with customer preferences and industry trends
• Lead and motivate staff to maintain a high level of service excellence
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen environment
• Monitor inventory levels and minimize food waste
• Foster teamwork and collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house staff
• Implement training and development programs to enhance staff skills and performance
• Create schedules to optimize resource management and speed of service
• Promote a positive customer experience through exceptional service and culinary offerings
• Manage and foster vendor relationships
• Oversee internal restaurant app to ensure a positive customer experience
  
  

Here's What We're Looking For

• 5 years of culinary experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment
• Proven track record of success in restaurant management, including profit and loss responsibility
• Creative mindset with a passion for delivering fresh, healthy cuisine
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Science or related field preferred
• Proficiency in restaurant management software such as Square and Marketman, POS systems, and MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to excellence and growth in a collaborative team environment
