About The Position
The Logistics Specialist supports Power Design’s shipping and transportation operations by coordinating carrier logistics, dispatching deliveries, and maintaining communication with project teams. This role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and accurate material movement through proactive problem-solving, route optimization, and attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipments and deliveries between warehouse, job sites, and external carriers.
- Select cost-effective shipping methods and negotiate with carriers to optimize performance.
- Manage routing, load consolidation, and tracking to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate shipping and logistics documentation, including bills of lading and route reports.
- Collaborate with supervisors and site teams to align logistics with operational priorities.
- Input data into Transportation Management Software (TMS) and monitor accuracy.
- Maintain positive relationships with drivers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Uphold Power Design’s standards of professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, or brokerage.
- Strong understanding of shipping documentation and bill of lading processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Transportation Management Software (TMS).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Commitment to teamwork, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
