Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in driving, particularly in bus and paratransit services, and have experience working with seniors. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage behavior effectively while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all passengers.

Duties

• Safely operate the facility vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Provide transportation services for our residents, ensuring their comfort and safety during transit.
• Communicate effectively with passengers and caregivers regarding schedules, routes, and any changes.
• Manage behavior of passengers as necessary to maintain a positive environment during transport.
• Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking the vehicle, providing support as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical integrity of the vehicle through regular inspections and reporting any issues.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality customer service.

Experience

• Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving is prefered.
• Familiarity with paratransit services is highly desirable.
• Experience working with seniors or patients in a senior care setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation is a plus.
• Previous experience in teaching or behavior management can be beneficial for this role.
