Job Title: Signalization Division: Laborer
Salary Range: $22–$26/hr. plus prevailing wage opportunities
Location: Rochester, NY
Primary Function and Scope:
As a Laborer, you will support Traffic Signalization Division in the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems and highway lighting. This is an entry-level, hands-on role ideal for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn and grow within the electrical construction trade.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with installation of conduit, wiring, and signal equipment under supervision

Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment at job sites

Support the setup and takedown of temporary traffic control systems (signage, cones, etc.)

Prepare worksites by digging trenches, placing foundations, or setting poles

Help install signal heads, streetlights, cameras, and other infrastructure

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Work in proximity to hazardous equipment and energized systems under guidance

Perform basic tasks from ladders or bucket trucks (with training and supervision)

Participate in training opportunities related to safety and electrical systems
Minimum Requirements:

Valid NYS Driver’s License in good standing

Willingness and ability to perform physically demanding labor in all weather conditions

Strong team player with good communication skills

Positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job

Availability to work standard hours (typically 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), with potential for overtime, night work, and occasional travel

Commitment to safety protocols and on-site discipline

Previous experience in construction, electrical, or roadway work
