Front Desk Receptionist
We are looking for a Receptionist to manage our front desk at our busy optometry office. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company and must present a professional attitude and appearance while providing a pleasant patient experience. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Optical knowledge preferred but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients as they arrive at the office
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Schedule patients effectively to maintain a full schedule
- Gather and input all necessary patient information
- Protect all patient information to adhere to HIPAA requirements
- Ascertain insurance information necessary for accurate billing.
- Assist patients with product pick-up and payment
- Provide administrative support across the organization
- Perform other clerical duties such as emailing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. printers, scanners, copiers, multi-line phone systems)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
