POSITION SUMMARY:

Current Opening: One Full-Time position (40 hours per week)

*On-Call Required (must be 30 minutes or less from facility)

This key position is responsible for the overall quality, execution of services provided and supervision of the care center staff. The ADON works in collaboration with the Director of Nursing (DON) in establishing, implementing and evaluating policies, goals, budgets and programs within the care center. This leadership position serves as a liaison between staff and the DON as well as residents/families and the care providers.

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Wyoming nursing degree from an accredited college or university required; one year experience in long term care preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to understand the basic metric system.
  • Operation of typical office equipment such as P. C’s, printers, terminals, calculator, FAX, copiers.
  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to act as a resident advocate and interact with residents, families and staff. Ability to interact assertively and tactfully when dealing with conflict and in group solving activities. Ability to fulfill core competencies in clinical areas.
  • Read, write and speak in English

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly lifting or move objects weighing 10 - 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, stooping, bending, crouching, and working with equipment.
  • Subject to inside and possibly outside weather conditions.
  • The employee is also subject to exposure to blood and body fluids, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, exposure to burns and radiant energy, exposure to explosives, exposure to toxic chemicals and biological agents.
