Apply military planning expertise to support national defense, military capability development, and employment.

Analyze available information, develop and test options, write plans and orders, and assess organizational progress to accomplish objectives in and through cyberspace.

Participate in all phases of planning, from translating strategic guidance through concept and plan development to plan assessments and associated functions.

Develop, revise, and coordinate campaign, support, and contingency plans, including commander's estimates, base plans, concept plans, and operations plans.

Ensure cyberspace operations are integrated with all appropriate annexes and appendices.

Coordinate and integrate DoD requirements, targets, and priorities into planning processes.

Engage in Joint operation contingency and crisis planning activities as a member of Joint Planning Groups (JPGs) and Operational Planning Teams (OPTs).

Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes related to countering foreign cyberspace threats and bolstering homeland security.

Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding military operations and strategic planning efforts to enhance national security.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Joint Operation Planner or completion of an advanced planner school such as:

School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS)
-
School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW)
-
School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS)
-
Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS)
-
Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS)
-
-
1 years of experience as a Joint Operation Planner.

Knowledge of:
-
Joint Planning Process (JPP), JOPES, and APEX planning formats.

Security Clearance:
-
Active TS/SCI clearance with the willingness to take a polygraph exam.

Education:
-
Bachelor's degree.

Certifications:

Joint Professional Military Education Phase II (JPME II) Certification OR 4 additional years of experience in operations planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing, revising, and coordinating campaign, support, and contingency plans, including commander's estimates, base plans, concept plans, and operations plans.

Knowledge of subjects relating to Combatant Command operations, governance, and business practices.

Ability to analyze information, develop and test options, write plans and orders, and assess organizational progress.

Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred.
