What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Trail Crew position at POWDR?

Trail maintenance involves working with hand tools, outside, in a mountain environment and getting dirty is guaranteed. When you are not maintaining the mountain bike trails, you will perform maintenance to other Woodward facilities including but not limited to skateparks, trampolines and more. This is a seasonal summer position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, grub hoe and rock bars to repair and maintain trails of rock and dirt. Other tools include skill saw, Sawzall, drill, grinder and more.
- Ability to take direction from the trail crew supervisors.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activities in steep terrain for extended periods of time in adverse weather conditions and exposure to insects.
- Follow all outlined safety rules and demonstrate high standards for personal and team safety.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude toward the workplace, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Be on time; ready and willing to work hard.
- Trail signage installation & maintenance
- Be available to work bike park related events.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Walk up hill carrying 50lbs of gear and tools.
- Able to work hard physical labor for 8-10 hours a day.
- Able to work outside in a summer mountain environment.
- Intermediate Mountain Bike riding skills preferred.
