TITLE: IT Business Analyst 1
LOCATION: Snowbird Resort
STATUS: Salary, Full-time, Year-round
SCHEDULE:
- 5-day week, specific days of the week can be accommodated.
- Must be available to work at least 1 weekend day per week.
SUMMARY
We’re looking for a proactive, tech-savvy IT Business Analyst to join our dynamic Technology Team at Snowbird. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business and technology teams to implement, maintain, and optimize the software systems / products that drive our operations including our point-of-sale (POS), eCommerce, and resort systems.
You’ll be at the heart of digital transformation in the outdoor industry, helping elevate guest experiences and modernize resort operations through smart, scalable tech solutions. We are looking for talented individuals with the collaboration mindset of a startup and the operational experience of an enterprise.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Act as a bridge between business users and tech teams to define needs, gather requirements, and deliver practical solutions.
- Engage in a team-of-teams structure to configure, implement, and enhance POS, ticketing, and ecommerce platforms across multiple resorts.
- Collaborate closely with resort staff and leadership to understand operational goals and improve the guest experience.
- Manage software configurations, system integrations, and vendor relationships.
- Identify and recommend technology process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Create clear documentation and deliver training to end users.
- Ensure accurate revenue tracking and accounting data in collaboration with Finance.
- Provide troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing support for software applications.
- Develop and support reporting tools to meet user and leadership needs.
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- High school diploma required.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in business systems analysis or product management.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Eager, quick, life-long learner with a desire to constantly improve.
- Passion for improving user and guest experiences through technology.
- Understanding software implementation and systems configuration methodologies.
- Comfortable with engaging and communicating regularly with stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of POS systems, RTP, Square, Affirm, eCommerce, or activity-based applications preferred.
- Basic grasp on relational databases, SQL, and/or payment gateway systems.
- Bonus if you have worked in the outdoor industry or in resort operations.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full-time, year-round position.
- Regularly scheduled work shifts. Specific days of the week can be accommodated.
- Must have weekend availability. This position works one or more weekend days (Saturday or Sunday) per week.
- Some on-call and after-hours availability required.
- Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
- Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs.
- General office environment.
- Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
- Work is outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold and other extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, push, pull, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be able to walk on slippery surfaces, including snowy/icy conditions. Discounts on footwear/traction are available to employees.
- Must be able to walk over uneven, uphill/downhill areas.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
