About the Opportunity
We are looking for a highly capable SolidWorks Designer with real-world sheet metal fabrication experience to join our team in Manchester, TN. This is a hands-on, production-focused role supporting an active manufacturing environment—not a theoretical design position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Modify and develop SolidWorks parts and assemblies for production
- Create accurate, shop-ready drawings and flat patterns
- Use SigmaNEST to prepare and optimize nesting for laser cutting
- Work directly with production team
- Ensure designs are efficient, manufacturable, and cost-effective
- Manage revisions and maintain organized files
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience with SigmaNEST (or similar nesting software with willingness to transition quickly)
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication
- Ability to create accurate flat patterns, bend allowances, and production drawings
- Understanding of real-world manufacturing constraints and tolerances
- Self-sufficient and able to work without constant oversight
Preferred / Bonus Experience
- Experience operating or programming a Mitsubishi fiber laser
- Familiarity with press brake operations and bending processes
- Experience in a fast-paced fabrication or job shop environment
Compensation
- $28–$33/hour, based on experience and capability
