Job Description: Are you looking for a fun, fast-paced work environment this winter? Chester's Bar & Grill, located at Powder Ridge Ski Area, is seeking energetic and reliable cooks to join our kitchen team for the upcoming ski/snowboard season.
As a cook in our full-service bar and grill, you will play a crucial role in delivering great food to hungry skiers, snowboarders, and winter enthusiasts. From burgers and wraps to homemade soups and appetizers, you will ensure every dish that leaves the kitchen meets our standards for quality and speed.
We offer a unique, lively winter resort atmosphere. Whether you are an experienced line cook looking for winter work or someone looking to break into the culinary industry, we provided full on-the-job training to set you up for success.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items (burgers, wraps, pizzas, appetizers, and daily specials) according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Set up, stock, and maintain kitchen work stations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to handle high-volume peak periods, especially on weekends and holidays.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment by complying with food safety regulations and health standards.
- Assist with prep work, washing dishes, and closing down the kitchen at the end of the night.
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or kitchen team member is preferred, but not required - we are willing to train the right candidate!
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment while staying organized.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to work a seasonal schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods (our kitchen closes at 8PM nightly).
- Reliable transportation to our location in Kimball, MN.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.

Pay: $13.50 - $20.00 per hour
