CREDENTIALS REQUIRED: A valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild to Moderate or Extensive Support Needs or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching in a mild to moderate or extensive support needs assignment.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Applicants must have an English Language Learners (CLAD credential) in order to be considered for the position. 2. Copy of valid teaching credential (mild to moderate or extensive support needs or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching in a mild to moderate or extensive support needs assignment). 3. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring). 4. Current resume. 5. Letter of introduction, addressed to Kelly Burke, Ed.D., Executive Director II, Human Resources. 6. Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position, are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching. 7. EXPLANATION OF SIGNING BONUS PAYMENT - FOR EXTENSIVE SUPPORT NEEDS CREDENTIALS ONLY $6,000 signing bonus for a full time (100%) position and prorated for a less than 100% position. The $6,000 signing bonus will be paid out at $750 at the end of the first eight (8) semesters employed in this position. TEACHER INDUCTION: Poway Unified School District offers a teacher induction program to clear the CA preliminary credential to qualified individuals at no cost to the employee.
