The Poway Unified School District is seeking applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Please note that this posting is for an ELIGIBILITY POOL only. As positions at the middle school or high school become available, candidates may be contacted directly by school sites. Current opening: 75% Art/Ceramics at Mt. Carmel High School
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants must submit all required documents to be considered, including a valid teaching credential. CREDENTIAL REQUIRED: A valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential - Art or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching Art. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required document MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Applicants must have an English Language Learners (CLAD credential) in order to be considered for the position 2. Copy of Single Subject Teaching Credential (Art or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching Art) 3. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring) 4. Current resume 5. Letter of introduction, addressed to Kelly Burke, Ed.D. Executive Director II, Human Resources 6. Three (3) letters or reference, signed/dated within the past 12 month. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position, are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching. 7. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address 8. All applications must be submitted through EDJOIN; no hard copy documents will be accepted
