-Applications will be evaluated for minimum qualifications based on training and experience. -Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and pass the Poway Unified School District’s Custodian written examination will be invited to interview for placement on an eligibility list for limited-term (substitute) assignments. -Placement on the limited term (substitute) list does not qualify candidates for consideration for contracted positions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. KNOWLEDGE OF: Modern cleaning methods including basic methods of cleaning floors, carpets, furniture, walls and fixtures. Appropriate safety precautions and procedures. Operation of assigned custodial equipment. ABILITY TO: Learn the schedules, procedures and use of equipment and supplies used in custodial work. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Maintain buildings and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly and secure condition. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Move and arrange furniture and equipment. Work cooperatively with others. Operate assigned custodial equipment. Observe health and safety regulations. Learn basic record-keeping techniques.
