Job Summary
Poway High School is seeking qualified applicants for its Girls Head Soccer Coach opening. The Head Coach will be responsible for the overall management of the Girls Soccer program. This includes developing training plans, coaching during practices and games, and promoting a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Soccer, coaching experience, and a commitment to student-athlete development.
Requirements / Qualifications
Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement training programs. • Lead daily practices and coach at games. • Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture. • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration. • Monitor and promote the academic and personal growth of student-athletes. • Organize and oversee team events, fundraising, and community service initiatives. • Ensure compliance with all school and league policies. • Manage all program administrative requirements.
Required Qualifications: • Previous coaching experience at the high school or club level is preferred. • Strong knowledge of techniques, rules, and competitive strategies. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes. • Must pass background checks as required by the school district. The ability to meet all PUSD standards for hire including, but not limited to, Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, tuberculosis clearing, and valid CIF coaching certificates including CPR/First Aid, Concussion in Sports, Fundamentals in Coaching, Heat Illness, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
