Hi We're Poured New York - purveyors of fine fragrance and home goods, with products handmade in Hudson, NY.
We've been in business since 2020 and are looking to grow our manufacturing team in Hudson by adding a warehouse generalist.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, efficient, detail oriented, and nimble Production Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials handling, candle & fragrance production, and picking/packing products. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role will require the ability to be flexible to work Monday-Friday: approx 24-32 hours per week (depending on seasonality).
Responsibilities
- Make, label, and box candles, perfumes, and reed diffusers
- Receive products from shipments via UPS, DHL, Fedex, and 3rd party transportation.
- Load and unload materials and products from boxes; wax, oil, glass, paper, packaging.
- Perform inventory control tasks, including counting, sorting, and organizing products.
- Package items for shipment, ensuring they are secure and labeled correctly for our D2C and Wholesale customers.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with ownership and employees to meet daily operational goals.
- Conduct materials handling tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in loading and unloading goods with attention to detail and safety.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties; safely and easily able to lift boxes up to 50lbs.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for effective inventory control.
- Strong organizational skills for managing packages and materials efficiently.
- Ability to work independently on various tasks while keeping the highest standards of production
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques to ensure safe transport of goods.
- Competence in using RF scanners for tracking inventory movement - we're not using an inventory tracking system yet, but we'll be looking to invest in that as our business grows.
Experience:
- 2 years of manufacturing or warehouse associate experience; preference towards candidates who have experience working in fragrance or luxury goods
- High attention to detail
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must not need sponsorship to work in the US
