Job Description
Pour Decisions Tasting Room is looking for a dependable, motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing food to order while maintaining consistent quality, proper portioning, and a clean, organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established standards
- Set up and stock the kitchen before service
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products
- Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items to management
- Assist with prep, cleaning, dishes, and other kitchen duties as needed
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and timely service
- Follow all applicable health department and food safety requirements
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen supplies as needed
- Food handler certification preferred
Schedule
Evening and weekend availability is required.
