Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and applicable laws. Bartenders are expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, accurately process transactions, follow company policies, maintain regular and reliable attendance, and contribute to a positive guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards.
- Verify guest identification and comply with all alcohol service laws and Responsible Beverage Service requirements.
- Provide professional, friendly, and attentive customer service.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Open and close customer tabs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, equipment, and workstations.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Accurately report tips and complete required end-of-shift procedures.
- Communicate inventory shortages, customer concerns, and operational issues to management.
- Accurately record all hours worked using the Company’s timekeeping procedures.
- Clock in and out for shifts and meal periods as required.
- Follow attendance, scheduling, meal period, rest break, and workplace conduct policies.
- Report to work on time and work assigned shifts as scheduled.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation preferred.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid California Responsible Beverage Service certification.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, closing shifts, and special events as scheduled.
- Schedules are based on business needs, and specific shifts or days off are not guaranteed.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the bar area.
Pay: $16.90 - $17.10 per hour
