Custodian

SUMMARY:

Potterville Public Schools is welcoming applicants for a custodial vacancy. This will be a full-time Custodian. Duties include general custodial work & set-ups/teardowns for athletic events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reports directly to the Director of Facilities.

• Performs routine and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Monitor and prioritize assigned work orders to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption to the learning environments. Daily discussions with the supervisor shall occur.
• Maintain records and document repairs as required by the supervisor.
• Maintain all safety and code requirements of the state, local and district.
• Shall perform the assigned tasks in a timely manner and shall always work in a manner consistent with safety of self and others.
• Must demonstrate the ability to perform work in a multitude of conditions, locations and environments including outdoor climates.
• Must perform cleaning duties while having pride in their work.
• Must annually complete all required safety training.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, training and seminars as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities (or designee)

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma preferred or general education degree (GED).

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
• Polite, courteous, and tactful with the public.

EVALUATION:

Performance for this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Facilities.

Salary : $15 - $17
