Job Title: School Custodian
Location: School Campus

Position Summary
The School Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position supports daily school operations through custodial services, preventative maintenance, and adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance as needed to ensure facilities remain in proper working condition
- Monitor, prioritize, and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner to minimize disruption to the learning environment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of repairs and completed tasks
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and building codes established by the state, local authorities, and the school district
- Perform cleaning duties as necessary, including classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces
- Complete all required annual safety training
- Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars as assigned to gather and share information necessary to perform job functions
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities (or designee in his/her absence)
Qualifications
- Knowledge of custodial practices, cleaning methods, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform routine custodial tasks
