What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grinding Operator position at Potters Industries?
We are looking for a full-time General Production Worker.
Our pay is competitive at $26.21 .75 per hour night premium
You will be trained to operate production equipment in our glass bead manufacturing plant following the high safety, quality, and environmental standards of Potters. As part of the job, you will operate mobile equipment including forklifts and front-end loaders. You will be trained to perform in-process quality checks and recognize when equipment adjustments are required. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance will be required.
You will be expected to participate in safety programs and other employee driven projects which is part of the Potters continuous improvement philosophy.
An ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent. A technical/trade school education is preferred.
- Computer literacy to include email use and quality check data entry
- Attention to detail and familiarity with various industrial equipment
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated safe operation of mobile equipment.
- Must be willing to work any shifts/hours and overtime, holidays, and weekends.
