Role Description
This full-time on-site House Parents role is based in Bowling Green, KY. House Parents are responsible for creating a supportive and stable home environment for children in care, ensuring their emotional, physical, and educational needs are met. Responsibilities include overseeing daily routines, fostering positive relationships, managing household responsibilities, and nurturing a safe and structured home. Additional tasks may include collaborating with professional staff, participating in child development activities, and promoting positive behavioral and social skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in caregiving, mentoring, or working with children and families preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and positive relationships
- Organizational and time-management skills to maintain household schedules and responsibilities
- Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing home environment
- Basic knowledge of child development and family dynamics
- Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus
