Position Summary
We are seeking a senior-level experienced Architectural Drawings Drafter with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in commercial, public, and mixed-use building projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working both in the office and in the field. This role requires drafting accurate construction documents, performing field measurements, developing as-built drawings, and supporting construction administration throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree (2-year) in Architectural Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related drafting discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of architectural drafting experience.
- Extensive experience with:
-Commercial buildings
-Public/institutional facilities
-Mixed-use developments
- Proficiency in preparing construction documents and detailed architectural drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, and applicable building codes.
Responsibilities
- Draft and revise architectural drawing sets throughout all project phases.
- Conduct field visits to existing buildings to obtain accurate measurements and document existing conditions.
- Prepare detailed as-built drawings based on field measurements.
- Coordinate drawings with engineers, consultants, and project managers.
- Perform site visits during construction to document progress and verify field conditions.
- Assist with construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing field reports.
- Maintain drawing accuracy and ensure compliance with project standards and applicable codes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project team members.
