What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterans Affairs Commissioner position at Pottawattamie County?
The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors is looking to fill four (4) vacant positions on the Pottawattamie County Commission of Veterans Affairs.
The Pottawattamie County Commission of Veterans Affairs provides assistance to all military veterans discharged under honorable conditions and/or their families in applying for federal benefits and other veteran aid.
Members of the Commission are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Commission consists of seven members, five (5) voting and two (2) non-voting (Ex-Officio) who serve a term of three (3) years.

This is a volunteer position. The Veterans Affairs Commissioner will be asked to attend monthly meetings.
