Potrykus Construction is seeking an experienced Concrete Construction Superintendent to join our growing team! As a leading provider of high quality commercial and municipal concrete construction services, we are known for our commitment to excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Position Overview:
The Concrete Construction Superintendent will plan, coordinate, and supervise field operations for foundations, flatwork, sidewalk/curb and gutter projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets construction drawings, specs, and site plans
- Develops and manages project schedules
- Ensures all materials, labor, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
- Reviews construction documents for completeness and ensures adherence
- Proactively communicates with internal and external project partners on project plans and specifications, resolving discrepancies
- Conducts effective on-site project orientations, pre-construction planning sessions, and site meetings
- Utilizes software including Procore, Bluebeam, iPads, Microsoft office, etc.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of proven leadership experience in concrete construction
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and industry standards
- Excellent management and leadership skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Experience using construction software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Understanding of safety regulations and standards
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license
