Location: Sterling, VA area Schedule: Saturdays occasional weekdays | 5-15 hours/week Pay: $18 - $40 per hour (commission-based)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Potomac Wash is a residential window cleaning and pressure washing company serving Loudoun County and Northern Virginia. We've been in business for five years and we're growing our team.

This is part-time work to start — primarily Saturdays with occasional weekday work and a flexible schedule. As we bring on more customers, hours grow.

We believe in paying people well for good work. Our pay is commission-based because we want your effort to directly determine your paycheck. The faster and better you get, the more you earn. No ceiling.

Direct note from owner here: I set the commission up based on our current pricing. There will be jobs where you realistically make $24 an hour and others where you make $40 . It is frequent that an experienced tech (me, up to this point) can wash a $550 house in sub-two hours. We have extremely high performance machines, so skill is the limiting factor here, not the equipment. We also don't price like a bucket bob. We are bonded, licensed, and insured, so we price as such. This keeps your commission up. As you improve, your bonuses get more consistent and your speed improves. I am going to give you the tools to enable success.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Cleaning residential windows inside and out — squeegee work, screens, sills, and tracks and waterfed pole cleaning
• Pressure washing and soft washing residential homes, driveways, walkways, and patios
• Delivering a professional, friendly customer experience at every home
• Keeping equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Learning to safely handle cleaning chemicals and pressure washing systems
• Offering customers additional services from our service menu

You'll be at different homes across Loudoun County, working outdoors, and leaving properties looking noticeably better than when you arrived.

TRAINING

Training is paid at $18/hr and takes roughly 6-8 Saturdays depending on what jobs come up. You'll ride along and learn our systems, equipment, chemical handling, safety procedures, and customer service expectations. No prior experience needed — we teach you everything.

PAY AFTER TRAINING

20% commission on all job revenue. You earn a direct percentage of every dollar the jobs you complete bring in.

What that looks like:

• A $400 house wash that takes 2 hours — you earn $80 — $40/hr
• A $700 window cleaning that takes 4 hours — you earn $140 — $35/hr
• A $600 day with 3.5 hours of work — you earn $120 — $34/hr
• A $1,200 day with 7 hours of work — you earn $240 — $34/hr

Bonuses on top of commission:

• 30% commission (instead of 20%) on additional services you upsell on-site from our service menu
• $10 for every 5-star Google review a customer leaves mentioning you by name
• $50 quality bonus for every $5,000 in job revenue you complete with zero callbacks

REQUIREMENTS

• Legal work authorization in the United States
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (minimum 3 years licensed, no DUI/reckless driving, no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years)
• Reliable personal transportation to meet at the work vehicle each morning
• Comfortable learning to tow a small trailer (we'll teach you)
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and carry equipment
• Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, and some rain
