What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Compounding Pharmacist position at Potomac Ridge Pharmacy?
The Pharmacist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy. The ideal candidate for this position will have advanced training in pharmacology and medicine, and a demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to customers. A Pharmacist is expected to utilize their knowledge of pharmaceuticals in order to make decisions about which medications to recommend, and the ability to make quick decisions about these issues.
Responsibilities:
- Compile new prescriptions into computer system.
- Manage pharmacy staff including hiring, training, leading, coaching, and evaluating.
- Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Direct pharmacy staff in preparation of prescriptions.
- Inform physician about adverse drug reactions and patient concerns about drug therapy.
- Counsel patients about medications and provide advice about prescription medications.
- Monitor medication usage.
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
