Duties
- Prepare, clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment using approved sterilization techniques and devices.
- Manage inventory levels of sterilized supplies, ensuring all materials are available for daily procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and supply usage in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist with the proper handling and storage of sterile instruments to prevent contamination.
- Follow strict aseptic techniques during instrument processing to uphold infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure all instruments are ready for scheduled procedures and emergencies.
- Conduct routine quality checks on sterilization equipment and report any malfunctions or deviations from standard procedures promptly.
Experience
- Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for motivated candidates.
