What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vacuum Truck Operator position at Potomac Environmental, Inc.?
Potomac Environmental, Inc., an established local, environmental/industrial services company in Chesapeake, VA, is currently hiring an experienced Class B Vacuum Truck Operator. Must be able to use manual transmission. Candidate will also be expected to participate in our routine crew functions. Must have knowledge of and be able to comply with DOT, OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as have clean DMV record. Drug screening and a criminal background check will be required.

Additional/detailed requirements:
- Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker qualifications.
- Ability to maintain and operate 3000 gallon vacuum truck
- 40 OSHA with HAZWOPER. (will provide for a very qualified candidate)
- Pre-employment drug screen, physical, agility and DOT testing is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and wear a respirator.
- Ability to maintain driver’s logs, properly placard vehicle and prepare/complete manifests.
- We will require occasional out of town travel.
- Secondary crew duties to include: pipeline pigging and pressure testing, demolition, and operate heavy equipment such as an excavator.
