The Client Engagement Specialist (CES) is responsible for processing client referrals, ensuring eligibility for services, and providing detailed information about programs and referral processes. Working independently according to COMAR 10.09.45 and 10.09.90, the CES completes initial assessments for adults and children with mental health diagnoses. They assist clients in setting treatment goals and ensure smooth transmission of paperwork and pertinent information to assigned staff.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health working with adults, children, youth and/or families.
• May substitute additional experience for education or additional education for experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with co-workers.
• Ability to assess needs and concerns while adapting accordingly and reporting pertinent details to direct supervisor.
• Is professional with excellent interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Is willing to work schedule according to the needs of the agency.
• Strives for excellence and is eager to obtain knowledge about the job and community resources.
• Ability to receive constructive feedback.
• Has technical aptitude for utilizing computers, software (Shared Village, Paylocity), phone applications and online resources.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license and auto insurance with dependable means of transportation. Maintaining a safe driving record and self-awareness for safety purposes.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving when prioritizing the weekly schedule.
Salary : $45,448 - $50,232
