Description
Silt Coffee Co is an experience and each Team Member is responsible for ensuring guests feel a part of our community. Through friendly and effective communication, our guests and other team members will keep coming back for our coffees, teas, and lite fare. Each Team Member ensures our core values are a part of the guest experience (human kindness, responsiveness, dependability, and acceptance).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
- Ensures that all Silt Coffee Co guests are greeted with a friendly smile, assist with questions regarding menu items, and take orders efficiently.
- Prepares food and/or drink selections to the standard recipes of the café, making customization per guests’ request.
- Focuses on high quality and consistent product standards for all guests and take pride in doing it.
- Creates a rapport with guests by learning their names and favorite drinks or food choices.
- Processes transactions in the POS system, ensures daily balances, and reconciles sales with daily finance processes.
- Stocks work area and properly prepares food and beverage machines for prompt service.
- Ensures and/or maintains the safety and cleanliness of all food preparation, service, and work areas, tools, and facilities.
- Informs supervisor of any issues or feedback , maintenance, repairs, and improvements to Silt Coffee Co equipment or furnishings.
- Maintains a clean workstation and atmosphere with frequent sanitization of high traffic areas and surfaces.
- Completes all catering orders and ensures timely and quality delivery of all items.
- Maintains familiarity with any new drink or food items, clearly communicating notable changes to team members, and guests.
- Ensures minimal product shrinkage due to theft or error from Silt Coffee Co.

Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Creates a fun and friendly environment for guests while serving the best products.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, adapting quickly, for positive results.
- Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and seek clarification as needed.
- Committed to the mission of the coffee shop and able to maintain their working hours as part of their contribution to the coffee shop staff.
- High School diploma or GED, preferred
- Able to start ASAP, preferred
- Demonstrated experience in managing a food service program, preferred.
- ServSafe Certified, preferred (not required)
- Valid Driver’s license, dependable transportation and vehicle insurance.
